Seneff Defender Demands Retraction

This is fun. I sort of feel like one of the big boys when crazies start e-mailing me with demands. I don't usually like giving crazies attention, but I would like to offer a standing pre-emptive response to anyone who takes time out of their day to send me one of these.

Hmm, let me consider that for a moment ... NO! Thank you and good night. Just reading this, I can feel how desperate this person is to shore up his or her preconceived notions. This person has a pseudo-science position he or she holds dear and worshipping a favorite scientist who he or she thinks gives their notion some kind of credibility. It is another case of lazy thinking.

Seriously though, my criticism of Seneff's qualifications does not amount to slander. Slander is a word with a legal definition relating to false statements that damage a person's reputation. If you can't locate the falsehood I spoke -- and I am confident you cannot since you didn't bother pointing it out in this e-mail -- your accusation of slander is, itself, slander. As for whether or not my statements are warranted, they are, indeed. Seneff is making public statements. That means I can make a public response.

I find your criticisms far from impressive. You are personally offended and nothing more. To that end, I am completely apathetic. I have absolutely no inclination to cater to your request just because you're offended. I respond to evidence. I do not respond to bald assertions, childish insults, or having some moron on the Internet judge me. In closing, I will openly admit that my personal blog is not intended to be the peak of my eloquence or maturity. They are editorials -- my personal thoughts, including the harsh ones. I enjoy discussing science a lot, but I claim no scientific authority. My blog is small fish as I do not write on it as often as David Gorski or P.Z. Myers, but it is my corner of the Internet. If you have questions, corrections, or feedback relating to something I write, leave it in the comments below or e-mail me. If you just want to vent your personal frustrations because something I wrote offended you, you can kindly piss off.

UPDATE:

Oh wait! You were right! My bio does have lies in it! I stopped playing Mabinogi years ago. I play Archeage and League of Legends now. I have also long since quit the Zeitgeist Movement. These errors have been fixed. Thanks for the heads-up.
